Keep a separate checkpoint for this exact filtered feed URL. On the first run, cover articles published in the previous 24 hours and record the other current feed entries as already seen. On later runs, compare article GUIDs (or JSON item IDs) with those recorded at the previous successful digest. Cover newly appearing entries, even if their publication date is earlier than the last run, and avoid repeats. Save the new set of seen IDs only after successful delivery.
